Soft gravel is a combination of SBR rubber granules and traditional small-grade, mixed together to provide the flexibility and softness of rubber with the sturdiness, variety, and durability of stone. Bonded using a polyurethane binder, this gravel-rubber hybrid makes for an outstanding surfacing choice for paths and walkways, cycle paths, equestrian applications, and golf courses, to name a few. 

One of the most common and best-suited applications for soft gravel is in and around three pits, with it being flexible enough to cope with the expansion and movement of tree roots, while keeping litter out and allowing water to penetrate the upper surface. 

Porous and naturally slip resistant, soft gravel is a SuDS compliant solution which can help to mitigate surface water flooding risk at source, with no additional drainage required. 

Consists of a Polyurethane Resin Binder, Washed & Dried Aggregates, an SBR Rubber Chip, and a Resin Catalyst.

Soft Gravel: The hardness of gravel combined with the flexibility of rubber

Soft Gravel is a term used to describe a permeable, hybrid rubber and resin bound gravel surfacing system which is an attractive, durable, SuDS compliant alternative to hardcore, tarmac or concrete for paths, walkways, nature trails, cycle tracks, golf course buggy tracks, tree pits, patios and borders.

 

By combining recycled rubber chips (SBR) and washed, dried aggregate with a single-part high-tensile binder, a flexible but hardy surface can be created which requires little-to-no maintenance and will resist some of the harsh conditions a public surface is subjected to.
